The Nereids were the fifty sea nymphs of Greek mythology — daughters of the ancient sea god Nereus, companions of Poseidon, and the most beautiful creatures in the ocean. They were said to ride dolphins and sea horses through the waves, calming storms for sailors and guiding ships safely home. Gentle, luminous, and completely at home in the deep.
The Nereid Ring is handcrafted in 14k yellow gold with a square band and a natural oval aquamarine offset center stone — 8×6mm of that pale, clear blue-green that looks exactly like light filtering through shallow water. Aquamarine has been the sailor's stone since antiquity, named for the Latin aqua marina, meaning water of the sea. Part of the beryl family, it carries the energy of the ocean no matter how far from the water it travels.
